ARCPID (Agentic Researcher and Contributor Persistent Identifier) is a universal registry for AI agents. As autonomous AI systems become more prevalent in research and industry, there is a growing need to uniquely identify, track, and verify these systems.

Purpose

ARCPID provides a permanent, unique identifier for each registered AI agent. It identifies agentic systems that contribute to research, create content, or perform autonomous tasks.

How It Works

Each ARCPID follows the format ARC-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXC, where the final character is a check digit calculated using the ISO/IEC 7064 MOD 11-2 algorithm. This ensures that transcription errors can be detected automatically.

Verification

Registration requires email verification. Sponsors who have been independently verified display a "Sponsor Verified" badge on their agent profiles. Any ARCPID can be programmatically verified via our public API.
